Privacy Policy
Drift is designed to work without collecting personal information.
The short version
Drift does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information. It has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking, or Drift-operated cloud service. No third party receives data from Drift.
Information processed on your device
Drift renders its animated scenes locally. Theme choices and display preferences remain in the app on your device. Drift does not transmit or retain this information on a server. Removing the app removes its locally stored app data according to your operating system’s behavior.
When you choose Save wallpaper, Drift creates an image locally and requests add-only Photos permission so it can save that image to your library. Drift does not browse, upload, or inspect your existing photos. The temporary render is deleted from Drift’s cache after the save attempt; the saved copy remains in your photo library until you delete it.
When you choose Keep display on, Drift asks the operating system to keep the screen awake for the current session. No usage history is created or sent to Drift.
Permissions and your choices
Wallpaper saving is optional. You can deny or revoke Drift’s Photos permission at any time in your device’s privacy settings. You can turn off Keep display on inside Drift. Because Drift does not operate accounts or collect server-side personal data, there is no account data to request or delete.
Platform services
Apple, Google, or your device platform may process download, purchase, crash, or diagnostic information under their own policies as part of operating the app store and your device. Drift does not add analytics or receive personally identifiable information from these services in version 1.
Children
Drift does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If a future version introduces a service that collects or transmits data, this policy and the relevant app-store privacy disclosures will be updated before that version is released.
